Laboratory Data Will Be Transferred to the ARMED System in Compliance with International Standards
As part of the project “From Paper to Practice: Digital Quality Management for Healthcare Institutions in Armenia,” the National eHealth Operator, the company managing Armenia’s ARMED electronic healthcare system, and the NGO Association of Biomedical Device Professionals have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU
The memorandum aims to ensure quality control of laboratory data and the transfer of data from laboratory equipment and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) to the ARMED electronic healthcare system in accordance with professional standards.
Implementing these functions requires specialized expertise. Therefore, under the memorandum, the Association of Biomedical Equipment Specialists, which provides training and capacity building in laboratory standards, will train ARMED staff.
“Data is transferred directly to the ARMED system from both laboratory equipment and Laboratory Information Systems that manage laboratory operations. The purpose of this memorandum is to ensure that the employees responsible for this process acquire the necessary professional knowledge and skills. This will contribute to improving the quality of laboratory services, strengthening quality control, and ensuring data consistency between LIS and ARMED,” says Avet Manukyan, Director of the National eHealth Operator.
“Our organization provides training and capacity building on ISO quality standards related to laboratory data transfer, management, security, and other relevant areas. We are confident that this cooperation will benefit both laboratories and patients, as it will ensure that laboratory data is transferred at the highest level of quality and in compliance with international standards,” says Edgar Hayrapetyan, President of the Association of Biomedical Device Professionals NGO.
